Reach Mansfield Ready for Round #2

On July 17-22, over 200 junior and high school students and leaders from 19 area churches are joining together to have a positive impact on Mansfield, Ohio.

This multi-church effort, “Reach Mansfield,” will see 16 different serve teams of students transported via busses and vans throughout the city daily to serve through dozens of different non-profits, ministries, and partners.

Students will be doing everything from coordinating with the City of Mansfield’s Parks and Recreation department to clean-up area parks or Richland Pregnancy Services or the Crossroads Church City Center.

The goal of the week is to show and share the message of Jesus by meeting practical needs. It also allows students to be exposed to all the good things happening in Mansfield and Richland County already to help those who are in need. Students will see that you don’t have to go overseas to reach out and help people who have genuine needs.

The Reach Mansfield Lead Team, consisting of pastors and leaders from Berean Baptist Church, Crossroads Church and Mosaic Church, has worked hard for 12 months on preparations to help this week of local missions go off without a hitch. All year multiple teams worked together to organize the event, service projects, and programming of the week!

Though almost all the churches that are sending students are from Richland County, there is one group of students coming all the way from Elkins, West Virginia!

Every evening the students will return to an area camp where they will have free time for some activities followed by a worship service with singing and preaching. The goal is that students themselves become closer to Jesus Christ and can understand and articulate the gospel, the good news that Jesus came to live, die, and rise again to save sinners.

For the leaders of this event, Reach Mansfield is a success if it helps students know Jesus better and equips them to make Him known in their community through love, service, and sharing.

Would you commit to pray for this endeavor?

Lead Team Launches Reach Mansfield 2021

It started with a lunch at Rancho Fiesta with a few youth pastors from different churches in the Mansfield area who desired to see God do something bigger through them together than what He could do through any one of them individually. Four months later, these youth pastors and a few others launched Reach Mansfield 2021.

With the arrival of COVID-19 everyone’s plans seemed to have changed. This reality is the same for student ministries throughout central Ohio. Normally youth leaders in the area would be casting vision to their students and families for trips to Haiti, the Dominican Republic, Mexico, or urban centers in the U.S. but with quarantine, travel bans, and more the normal missions reality seems to have been thrown out the window.

Hence, Reach Mansfield 2021.

A multi-church, week-long, local mission trips to OUR community.

Leaders from Berean Baptist Church, Heartland Church, Mosaic Church, Crossroads Church, & Shelby Alliance have joined together to lead this endeavor and several other churches and student ministries have already committed to participate! Registration has already opened for individuals and groups at

God is up to something.

Currently, the prayer is that over 200 students (6-12th grade) will come together at Camp Otyokwah in Butler, Ohio from July 11-16. Every day teams of students will travel into and around Mansfield to share the love of Christ through acts of love and service. Each team will be serving primarily with community organizations and ministries who are already having a positive impact in our city.
